School Disciplinary Norms

Dress Code

  • 01. Strict silence should be observed while doing experiments in the laboratory.
  • 02. The instructions given by the teachers and the laboratory assistants must be followed.
  • 03. Students will be responsible for any breakage or loss of the apparatus which is used in the experiment. Every breakage or loss should immediately be reported to the teacher-in-charge.
  • 04. Students shall bring to laboratory proper record books and observation note books and shall record all observations immediately after the experiment is performed.
  • 05. Students shall hand over the chemicals and apparatus taken for the experiment to the teacher after the experiment is over. They shall not take out or bring in any chemicals or instrument to the laboratory.

Attendance And Leave Rules

  • 01. A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for promotion.
  • 02. The leave record should be furnished in the diary duly signed by the parent.
  • 03. Absence of 15 consecutive days will lead to the removal of the student from the roll.
  • 04. Late comers will be allowed inside the class room only after getting the permission from the Principal.
  • 05. Leave more than 5 days shall be granted only on medical grounds

Library Rules

  • 01. All students, teachers and library staff are members of the library. The non-teaching staff should take special permission from the principal to borrow books from the library.
  • 02. The working time and days of library are same as those of the school. The issue and return of the books will be closed 15 minutes before the closing of the school.
  • 03. Strict silence should be kept in the library
  • 04. Personal books, umbrellas, bags etc should not be taken inside the library.
  • 05. The teachers can borrow 3 books at a time, while students can borrow only one book.
  • 06. Students in grade level 4 and above are permitted to borrow books.
  • 07. Library books will be issued only if a child produces his school diary with complete information and photo.
  • 08. Students can keep borrowed books for 7 days and teachers 15 days only.
  • 09. Books can be renewed once, but at the time of renewal the book should be produced before the librarian.
  • 10.Writing or marking in the libraby books is not allowed.
  • 11. Students found tearing pages from news papers or periodicals will entail fine.
  • 12. Reference books are not usually issued. But the librarian can issue such books to teachers based on special needs for use in teacher?s room for that day. The book should be returned the same day before the library closes.
  • 13. Sub-lending of borrowed books is not permissible.
  • 14. If a book is damaged or lost, the borrower should report the fact immediately as it happened.
  • 15. If a book is lost, or damaged the borrower is liable to pay the prevailing cost of the books, the procurement charge and a fine of Rs 100/- in lieu of this provision, borrower may opt to replace the book and pay the fine .when loss of book is reported after the expiry of lending period, a fine of Re-1/-per day beyond the lending period up to the date of reporting shall also be recovered in addition. The librarian may recall a book from a borrower when the book is in heavy demand.

Information To Parents

  • 01. Parents are responsible for the good conduct of their children in the school
  • 02. Parents shall remit all the school fees strictly on the due dates.
  • 03. Late payment will entail fine.
  • 04. If a student need to leave from school, the parent should give a written request to the principal.
  • 05. Leave more than 5 consecutive days are granted only on medical grounds.
  • 06. Mobile phones, Motor Cycle, costly articles including ornaments shouldn?t be brought to school.
  • 07. Parents may visit a classroom during teaching with special permission of the principal
  • 08.Suggestions should be posted in the suggestion box provided in the school.
  • 09. Parents should check the school diary every day for any communication from the teacher and use specified pages of diary for communication.
  • 10.Examination answer sheets and progress cards should be signed within 3 days of dispatch and returned to the school.
  • 11. All parents should attend the parent teacher meet after the examination as per schedule.
  • 12. Parents are also encouraged to attend PTA meetings and other meetings organized by the school.
  • 13. Parents can contact the teacher between 8pm and 9pm and not afterwards. 14. It is preferable if lady teachers are contacted on phone by the lady members of the family.

  • 15. Parents are informed that they are responsible for any loss or damage of school property caused by their children.
  • 16. Parents should treat the teachers with respect and dignity. Any complaints or difference of opinion with a teacher should be taken to the principal for settlement.
  • 17. Should a parent require meeting a teacher/principal, an appointment should be taken from the school reception desk by telephone.
  • 18. Parents shall not send their children to school who are suffering from or suspected to be suffering from contagious diseases and shall inform the same.
  • 19. Parents should collect all information about their kids? bus schedule and should make arrangement to pick them up from the discharge points.

School Disciplinary Norms

  • 01. All students should report to the school in time.
  • 02. Students are expected to wear clean and tidy school uniform on all days. Only plain black shoes are permitted with uniform. Fancy wrist watches, Pointed or fancy type shoes are strictly prohibited.
  • 03. All should adhere to the school dress code.
  • 04. Students are expected to greet their teachers habitually.
  • 05. Students should behave courteously with others and should avoid loud talk and shouting in the school premises.
  • 06. Students who have turned out to the school should attend all classes for the day.
  • 07. Class room disciplinary norms are displayed in the class rooms and should be strictly adhered to.
  • 08. Leaving the school campus without permission during school hours will warrant disciplinary measures.
  • 09. Students are permitted to bring only text books, notes and library books, checked out, to the school and classrooms.
  • 10. Students are expected to communicate to teachers and fellow students only in English while in the bus and school.
  • 11. Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone to school.
  • 12. Students shouldn?t wear costly ornaments or bring expensive articles to school.
  • 13. Students are not allowed to bring any eatables or soft drinks inside the school premises.
  • 14. Students should not engage in lending or borrowing money or exchange articles while in the school premises.
  • 15. Students of one class are not supposed to enter other classes.
  • 16. Students should report to the class on hearing the first bell. Attendance in school assembly is compulsory.
  • 17. Students are expected to take all assignments, unit tests and examinations seriously.
  • 18. Promotion to next class will be based on the tests, examinations, attendance and conduct.
  • 19. Students should not be seen loitering in the corridors during class time.
  • 20. Students of primary classes are not supposed to walk around in the class room during class time. They should be seated strictly in their places.
  • 21. Playing in the class room and corridor is strictly prohibited.
  • 22. Students should produce a letter from the parents for their absence in the class which will be noted in the diary.
  • 23. Leave more than 5 days shall be granted only on medical grounds and medical certificate should be produced.
  • 24. Absence from school without permission for more than consecutive 15 days will lead to removal from the rolls.
  • 25. Books and personal belongings should be kept clean and safe. The school will not take responsibility for their safety.
  • 26. Students suffering from contagious diseases are not allowed to attend the class.
  • 27. Damage to school property invariably attracts compensation and penalty.
  • 28. Littering class rooms and school premises should be avoided.
  • 29. Students are expected to do their homework and assignments in time.
  • 30. Teachers are the second parents, so they should be treated with respect and due regard.
